Culinary

I worked as a professional caterer to help pay my way through college and graduate school, and never lost my interest in the art of cooking.  Although cooking has not been my profession since 1987, I continued to cook for crowds. In the late 1990s, I regularly volunteered to cater benefit dinners for non-profit groups.  After moving to Berlin, Germany, in 2006, I hosted a monthly Salon for the city’s English-speaking artists, which became well-known both for the high quality of the food on the buffet tables and of the conversation.  Though I now cook only for her family and friends, I dream about opening a small restaurant in my “retirement.”
