Kali Tal worked as a professional caterer to help pay her way through college and graduate school, and never lost her interest in the art of cooking.  Although cooking has not been her profession since 1987, she has regularly volunteered to cater benefit dinners for non-profit groups.  After moving to Berlin, Germany, in 2006, she hosted a monthly Salon for the city’s English-speaking artists, which became well-known both for the high quality of the buffet tables and of the conversation.  Though she now cooks only for her family and friends, recipes are available on her website, Yay Food!
